Res-O-Tone heads are made from a proprietary tympani film and are based on one of the most popular drum heads of all time - the Remo coated Ambassador. Res-O-Tone offer the same tensioning and stick response properties as the Ambassador but without the coating. Res-O-Tone provide a clean, open, un-muted tone that when combined with the properties of the tympanic film make for different, yet completely familiar playing experience. The lack of coating also means less "stick drag", allowing fast and free movement around the kit. Res-O-Tone have an exceptional tensioning latitude, performing fully throughout the tuning range of your drum and provide a softer, "cushier" stick response. Even if you require a coated head on the batter side for brush work, a Res-O-Tone head on the resonant side will increase the tone and range of any drum.

Res-O-Two heads are the double ply version of the Res-O-Tone heads. Remo's reputation for quality and consistency in manufacturing two ply heads is evident in the Res-O-Two models which use Remo's clear film over the semi-translucent tympanic film, providing that familiar two ply response but with the added benefit of the extended tensioning latitude and full range, clear and open tonality with the durability of a two ply head.

Res-O-Tone P3 Bass drum head

The Res-O-Tone line includes two models of bass drum heads that have been selectively paired to provide a controlled, yet wide open sound. The Res-O-Tone P3 batter head is a single ply head made with the proprietary tympanic film and uses an internal control ring of the same film. Used in combination with the Felt Tone bass drum head, these heads allow any bass drum to operate at its full potential without the use of devices that tend to over dampen and limit the drum's playability.

Res-O-Tone Felt Tone Bass drum heads

The Res-O-Tone line includes two models of bass drum heads that have been selectively paired to provide a controlled, yet wide open sound. The Felt Tone bass drum heads are intended for use on the resonant side of the bass drum, providing floating "gated" damping by way of the integrated felt strip. This strip works in tandem with the dynamic movement of the head, giving the resonate side just the right amount of damping without muting the natural tone and of the drum.
